Musicianship

Working with Warren Records, I successfully launched my artist project, Dacre, focusing on folk and contemporary jazz-blues influences in my debut single, forming honest, spiritual musings on love and connection to the earth. Works of intense and heated lyricism give way to radical acceptance amongst Irish and Scottish folk influenced ballads. In August 2025, Dacre debuted with the single "Hot Chocolate Kisses." Released in January 2026 was the folk ballad “Fever Bringer,” and a further live, 6 track EP followed mid April as a tribute to the regional music scene.Performances include those at the Warren Youth Project, Middleton Hall for the Hull University Music Society bianually, Polar Bear Music Club and for the charity Gig Buddies facilitating access to music for those with learning disabilities. Upcoming 2026 gigs: Share The Wealth, an improvisational, avant-garde jazz night in November, and other date TBC gigs.Whilst much of my work is completed independently, producing and engineering my work myself, I have partaken in two ensembles performing live at three concerts within the Hull University Music Society. These ensembles have aided in pushing my musicianship to a professional standard over the last two years. In terms of what's next, I’m working on a jazz project with Warren Records, and I will be taking a residential summer school in sound engineering whilst completing my self-directed artist residency.
